[coords] Black x Ivory Innocent World

Here are some latest coords from a couple of private meetups this weekend. I didn't attend the community's Valentine's/birthday meet up at the Brazilian steak house because I had other stuff to do for Chinese New Year and also didn't want to pay that much for food if my pals wouldn't be there. But heck yeah, I would have loved to gorge on endless meat with lovely girls!!!

Finally wearing this cute striped IW dress, lmao. The black is a little faded and the ivory is a little darker than most ivory colors, but from a distance it worked! I keep telling myself that.

Since this was the next day, I rewore the socks and shoes, lmao, but it made a much better look for this IW apartment dress.

Wanna see the first time I wore it? It looked pretty bad, bleh legwear, non matching purse, I'm so glad I improved since then. Practice makes almost perfect, so just gotta keep on trying!

[coords] Halloween Outfits!

I love cosplay and I love lolita, and while I admit combining the two generally ends badly, like 99% of the time, lmao, I still enjoyed the opportunity to wear lolita style coords for Halloween 2015.  I hope you agree that these were tastefully done.

This was actually an old Princess Peach lolita style costume I sewed to go with a friend's Super Mario lolita themed group for a con some years ago. I added more lace, bought a new wig and wore updated gloves and shoes, but for an older creation, I think it both looks like Peach's SSBB outfit and a lolita dress. I won a free day off at work at our work costume contest, too, so worth it.

I just wanted an opportunity to rewear my Innocent World Gargyoles of Notre Dame to the lolita panel at Mini-Akon, and get a full length photo, I was going for a urban Parisian witch look with flowers and fur and feathers and animal mixed with gothic cross motifs and Eiffel Tower charms. Innocent World JSK, purse, socks, Bodyline shoes, offbrand blouse and jewelry, handmade headdress and veil!

[meetup] Crow Collection of Asian Art

We had a meet up to visit a Japanese fashion exhibit at the Crow Collection of Asian Art in downtown Dallas in November 2014. There was an exhibit of unique Japanese fashion pieces curated by a longtime American collector as well as a small exhibit showcasing samurai armor and related items. It was my first time in a long time to visit this lovely museum with its Japanese garden outside, I enjoyed it.

[meetup] Japanese Botanical Garden

I will be queuing up most of my coord photos from our local Dallas/Fort Worth lolita community meetups from 2014 to now, just to have them all neatly archived outside of Facebook, lmao.

We had a meetup at the Fort Worth Japanese Botanical Garden during the Japanese fall festival 2014. It was sunny, a little warm but not too hot, at a beautiful location centered around a koi pond, perfect for taking photos.

Innocent World Bouquet Stripe JSK, Metamorphose blouse and socks, offbrand purse and ballet flats and hair accessories. This was my second formal meetup after joining the Facebook community, first one I got good photos of.
